Annual Report 2016-17

 The School has achieved 100% results with 61.56 PI. Akshra Padmini topped the school with 90.2%, Vikram Pareek second with 86% and Chetan Sharma third with 85.8%.

In class X too all students passed with 100% and 79.82 PI, 18 students got 10 on10 CGPA.

Quest for excellence has been the motto at KV No2 Uppal.

Mr. Bhaskar a sub-staff employee of KV No.2 has been awarded with Regional incentive award. Three teachers Mrs. L.T Gayathri (P.G.T Biology), Mrs. Suguna Mohan (P.G.T English), Mrs. Meera Mumtaz (T.G.T Social Science) received appreciation certificates from both CBSE and KVS for 2015-16.

 

Scouts and Guides:

 Scout and guide activities are actively being done in the vidyalaya with 56 scouts, 48 guides, 52 cubs and 50 bulbuls on roll, total of 206 in number. Besides this, 4 scout master, 2 guide captains, 5 flock leaders and 2 cub masters are the assets of the Vidyalaya.

ACHIEVEMENTS:

1.    3 scouts and 2 guides received RASHTRAPATI AWARD. They are P. Vishnu Teja, K. Praveen kumar, Sheik Md. Dilawar, K. Meghna Reddy and N. Neelalohita.

2.    a scout attended Rastrapati testing camp.

3.    2 scouts and 2 guides received RAJYA PURASKAR

4.    7 scouts and 7 guides received TRITIYA SOPAN CERTIFICATES

5.    24 scouts and 23 guides qualified for DWITIYA SOPAN

6.    18 scouts and 21 guides qualified for PRATHAM SOPAN.

Sports and Games:

Students of this Vidyalaya participated actively in sports held at various levels. Mas. Muqueet Rahman 10-A and P. Praveen 10-A received gold medal and cash prize of Rs. 5000 each for playing hockey at the National level. Ms. Nandini 10-A and Nitya Srivastava 10-A were awarded with cash prize of Rs. 5000 each for Yoga at KVS National level.

KV No.2 Uppal was also a venue to Regional Badminton meet and SGFI Taekwondo and chess. In Badminton Regional meet, 17 schools and over 122 participants participated in IICT staff club, Habsiguda.

 KVS (India) SGFI team of chess consisted of 15 girls and 15 boys with one coach and one a manager from Bhubneswar. KVS (INDIA) Taekwondo team consisted of 20 girls and 19 boys with one manager and one coach with escorts. Both teams reported at SGFI venue on 2nd October, 2016 and 3rd October 2016 for Taekwondo. The games ended on 7th October with the closing ceremony. KVS team was placed in 3rd position.

 

Co-curricular activities (CCA):

 

To identify and nurture talents, many co-curricular activities (CCA) were organised. The activities represented various subjects and areas, such as language and literature, music and dance, quiz. Some activities that attracted the learners are: quiz, patriotic dance competition, running dictation, etc.

Everyday morning assembly, we celebrate various days such as Yoga day, teacher’s day, National integrity day, constitutional day, KVS foundation day, Republic day and Thinking day. Some of the important occasions were celebrated for a week or more. They are Azadi-70, (Zara yaad karo kurbani), Swachh Bharat program, Ganit saptaah and Hindi Pakhwada etc.

Students participated in activities conducted by other organisations and brought laurels to school. Kum. Hasitaa of Class XI participated in a group discussion event “GDPRO JUNIORS” conducted by MANAV RACHANA in Hyderabad for over 40 schools and was qualified for the finals at DELHI. In the finals conducted at Delhi, kum. Hasitha stood fourth position at National Level and received cash prize of Rs. 1000.

Kum. Swapnali Dalal of IX B participated in the online essay completion conducted by National ground water board and has been selected in the first level.

 

Science and Social science Activities:

 Students participated in science and social science exhibition at school cluster, Regional, National level. The play, “PANI- TERA RANG KAISA” of KV No. 2 represented KVS Hyderabad region at National Social Science exhibition held at Delhi.

 

Two students, Mas. Priyanshu Yakub and Kum. Swapnali Dalal have presented their project under the inspire award scheme.

 

Common minimum Programme:

 Activities conducted under the common minimum program are as follows:

1.    School readiness programme

2.    Grand-parents day

3.    Excursion and field trip to zoo and other local places of interest

4.    Cluster level competition in cluster level sports:-

Cluster level sports were held at KV Mehboobnagar, in which boys and girls participated.

 Cluster level competition in song dance and quiz:-

24 students participated in cluster level group song and dance competitions held at KV Nalgonda. Four students participated in quiz competition. Students bagged 1st prize in group song and 2nd in dance competition.

 In-service Courses:

This Vidyalaya was a venue to INSERVICE PROGRAMME for TGT-SST in two spells i.e. May and Dec 2016 in the month of December.

In-service course for TGT- Social Science was conducted in two spells i.e. in May and December respectively were 50 participants Ernakulam, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Calcutta Regions participated. Mr. Reddapa, V.P Associate Director, Ranga Rao PGT(Geography), Mr. Rama Rao PGT(History) and Mr. Sripada Rao PGT(Economics) formed the team with Mrs. S. Radha Mahalakshmi Principal, Director of the Course. In the second spell, Ms. Medha Brahmapurkar V.P, director, Mr. Sripada Rao PGT(Economics). Resource persons and Mrs. B Srilakshmi PGT(History) facilitated the programme. The focus was on the use of technology and activity based teaching.

A three-day workshop was conducted in the month of December to enhance the result improvement strategies of teachers in classes IX and X. Back to basics orientation program at Vidyalaya level was conducted from 28th January to 6th February 2017 by Mrs. Radha Mahalaxmi (Principal), Mrs. Meera mumtaz (TGT-SST) and Mr. Koteshwar Rao (HM)

 

Social Activites and Charity:

Students of KV No. 2 Uppal always contributed selflessly to different national NGOs like IDF, cancer society and flag fund. This year a total of Rs. 62500 was donated to IDF. This school was awarded with shield and a social action award for its amazing contribution to the under privileged. Ms. Vaishnavi of 3rd B and Ms. Juhi of 3rd A got gold medals for the highest contribution of Rs. 5000 each.

Students contributed to the tune of Rs. 32000 to the Cancer society of India.

The students of KV No.2 Uppal joined hands with GHMC to educate the local public about garbage management and WOW programme on 2nd October 2016, cashless society training to Scouts Guides, NCC and staff and parents.

 The annual medical check-up for students was conducted in the first week of Sept 2016.

 1.    Special coaching classes were conducted for 12th and 10th classes from Aug 16 onward till February.

2.    Teacher development programs were organised from time to time. The members of the faculty were sent to ZIET to be trained as master trainers in various subjects.

3.    Parent teacher meetings were organised regularly to keep the parents updated about their wards’ performance and conduct.

4.    Each student is precious to us. We are committed to the objective of grooming the learners as humane persons and dedicated global citizens. We undertake to provide opportunities to all the learners to realize and utilise their potentials.

In this endeavour of pruning and refining we solicit the cooperation of all the stake holders.
